The schedule is 2, 10 hour days every other week.
The orthodontic dental assistant prepares and maintains instruments, equipment, and materials for all dental procedures, while ensuring our patients are as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Working under the supervision of the Orthodontist, the dental assistant performs all aspects of orthodontic dental assisting within the scope outlined by his/her state’s dental practice act including adjustments, bandings, invisalign application, and taking orthodontic records. The orthodontic dental assistant must be proficient in general dentistry skills, and preferably have some orthodontic assisting experience. The dental assistant must have excellent communication skills, work well in a team, be able to council our patients in postoperative care and general oral health, as well as demonstrate an understanding of evidence based dentistry.
Idaho Expanded Functions certificates required.
