Job Responsibilities

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled and unskilled maintenance, repair, adjustment and minor construction work in the trades to ensure that facilities are maintained properly. Assists Maintenance management in planning work, identifying maintenance needs, and in project management. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and keys/security systems.

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and related components and participates in developing preventative maintenance plans.
• Repairs and maintains structures; performs repairs and replacements of standard equipment and components, such as plumbing, door hardware and other systems.
• Constructs and maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related equipment as needed including but not limited to demolition of existing internal structures, finishing walls, preparation for equipment installations, etc.
• Maintains a working knowledge of materials, systems and code requirements related to maintenance of facilities in each state (Oregon, Washington and Idaho).
• Maintains appropriate records and reports.
• Ability to travel to offices is required to meet business needs.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of facilities maintenance, construction, or repair experience in a commercial or healthcare setting or any equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Must have a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle in Oregon, Washington and/or Idaho and possess an acceptable driving record.

Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license from the State of Oregon preferred.

Knowledge of:
• Tools and equipment used in maintenance and construction of existing offices and facilities.
• Recordkeeping techniques and regulations, including use of automated record systems.
• OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures.
• Mechanical systems and equipment including HVAC, landscaping, carpentry and painting.
• Code requirements related to building maintenance and skilled trade work.
• Microsoft Office suite (word, Visio, excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic use of personal computers to access automated recordkeeping tools and use email.

Skill in:
• Computer use to maintain logs and inventories, respond to service requests and emails.
• Performing carpentry, painting and other skilled work.
