    Job Responsibilities

    The Key Account Executive plays a critical role in the Sales Department creating strong and lasting relationships with key accounts as assigned. This is done by serving as a liaison between the company, the clients and representing broker to understand each group’s unique needs and ensure that retention, growth and profitability are obtained.

    *Position is based Hillsboro, OR but may be able to consider being based in Seattle, WA for the right candidate.

    •Coordinate client renewal and project requests working with appropriate internal resources and Chief Business Development Officer to ensure profitable growth while being an advocate for both the Company and account.
    •Develops and fosters partnerships with client contacts to improve business relationships and optimize profitable growth potential in each account.
    •Coordinates complex RFP responses, bringing together multiple internal stakeholders to deliver a professional, high caliber proposal.
    •Plan, coordinate, implement and track service and sales strategies designed to increase dental plan membership.
    •Must consistently be able to generate new membership in accounts.
    •Maintain an active database of entity contacts within key accounts.
    •Develop an appropriate strategy for every account including prospective accounts.
    •Prepare reports documenting sales and service activity when requested.
    •Prepare, print and personally deliver, when necessary, all requested reports to specified accounts on a timely basis.
    •Coordinate and work with Member Services, Practice Managers and other appropriate internal contacts to help resolve eligibility, appointment scheduling, patient care and billing issues for assigned clients.
    •Coordinate and participate in open enrollment meetings and benefit fairs for assigned clients. Work with Sales team to identify appropriate coverage resources of contractors, Practice Manager’s and team members as necessary.
    •Participate in other client open enrollment meetings as requested by the team.
    •Proficient and comfortable with public speaking with the goal of maintaining/promoting Company brand.
    •Overnight travel and extended hours during key times and dependent upon business need.
    •Be proficient in the use of CRM to use as a resource and to track and record appointments, communication, and data related to clients.
    •Work well with internal teams to help build/maintain the WDG reputation.

    Job Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field, with 5 years of health insurance sales/service experience required. Must have a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle in Oregon, Washington and/or Idaho and possess an acceptable driving record. Experience in healthcare or insurance field preferred.

    Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
    Must have a State insurance license and be in good standing.

    Knowledge of:
    •Federal and state insurance industry practices and emerging industry trends.
    •Microsoft office applications and reporting tools and data bases.
    •Advanced principles of account management and sales.
    •Dental insurance business as it relates to underwriting, patient care, billings, customer service and internal processes.

    Skill in:
    •Public speaking and delivering presentations.
    •Interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
    •Utilizing Microsoft Office or other available electronic media to create, present and communicate information.
    •Relate to others in a respectful, constructive manner.
    •Embrace and promote company’s model of practicing dentistry.
    •Uphold and exemplify the company’s core values.
    •Represent the company in a professional manner to customers, employer groups, brokers, professional associations, and the public.
