    Job Responsibilities

    Performs model work, waxing, metal finishing, opaquing, stacking porcelain, finish, polishing or any combination of these, depending on skills and current needs of the Crown and Bridge Department.

     

    • Interprets lab prescriptions and constructs appliances according to specifications. Assist and Fill In For Leads and Senior Technicians – with regard to case planning, prioritizing and scheduling of work.
    • Evaluate porcelain understructures for proper design and function.
    • Wax, Invest, Cast and Metal Finish – all porcelain understructures, including full mouth reconstruction, ERA and other attachments.
    • Be a clinical Resource for managers, doctors and other lab technicians.
    • Provide training for other crown & bridge technicians, as needed.
    • Perform Final Quality Control Inspection of model work, waxing and metal finishing.

     

    Job Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required and dental tech trade preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

     

    • Knowledge with zirconia, Nobel Biocare Implant systems, milling zirconia
    • Experience with ceramics and taking shades
    • Six years experience fabricating crown & bridge appliances, plus dental technology trade school, or equivalent preferred.
    • Must have good hand-eye coordination, ability to use small hand tools, manual dexterity and attention to minute detail.
    • Must be able to work independently and with a team
