    Willamette Dental Group is looking for an in-house brand design specialist with a proven track record of supporting the experience of target audiences through graphic design and engagement techniques. This position plays a vital role in the brand experience of Willamette Dental Group patients, employees, and prospect talent across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho utilizing a wide skillset of user-centric graphic and experience design capabilities to support the overall brand perception and engagement.


    As an in-house graphic design specialist at Willamette Dental Group you’ll be supporting the design needs of a regional healthcare organization with over 50 offices, 1,400 employees, and 400,000 insurance members across a wide variety of media and audiences.     Job Responsibilities

    The Graphic Design Specialist will play a vital role in the brand experience for patients, employees and prospective talent across the company.  This position will utilize a wide skillset of user-centric graphic and experience design capabilities to support the overall brand perception and experience. 


    Essential Position Functions

    • Support content design and journey engagement with the general public, patients, business relationships, and prospect talent via targeted digital media, automated messaging, informative print collateral or signage, and in-person engagement tools
    • Support internal communication content design and employee engagement via dynamic digital engagement platforms / apps, and striking printed collateral or signage
    • Provide presentation development and event support for annual and quarterly internal events


    Job Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Design, Experience Design, Fine Arts, Design Arts, or Art & Design with 4+ years of experience supporting brand experience design through research, user experience mapping, graphic design, and experience design OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


    Knowledge of:

    • Advanced Graphic Design and Experience Design Principles for type, color, composition, and space
    • Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications
    • Web-based Content Management Systems
    • Common project management practices and methodology

    Skill in:

    • Visual design and attention to detail
    • Strong conceptualization ability, visual communication ability, drawing skills and techniques
    • Systematic Design Thinking philosophy
    • Cross-discipline experience design fundamentals
    • Professional written and verbal communication

    Ability to:

    • Show a PDF or web link portfolio of work for local, national or global brands in your application – THIS REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION
    • Design visual content for a wide range of specific audiences
    • Maintain a high attention to detail across several simultaneous projects and timelines
    • Understand how business needs and marketing and communication needs align
    • Work harmoniously and independently with a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment
    • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • Quickly adjust priorities when required

    Physical Requirements

    The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks.
